I use the MP-1 sometimes also on my "heavy metal" balcony. I live in the 
middle of a house with neighbours upstairs and downstairs. The problem are 
any metal parts in the near of the MP-1. Some parts of my balcony goes 
parallel (2 meters) to the MP-1 upstairs to my neighbours. I will try it 
with new radials (a quarter wave length for each band) in the future 
(hopefully HI). Most I use the MP-1 as portabel antenna without any problems.
