I've had my antenna up for several weeks now with no rust yet. I did fog
on some WD-40 on it and now has a yellow tint. Down the road it problably
will rust. In my area, my copper antennae need to be replaced yearly after
they get all oxidized green and black.

Maybe, years ago there was an article in 73 where the article claimed
exodic results using galvanized wire for his antenna performance, which I
put into the realm of para-normal. Couldn't be any worse than the steel pigtail leads used on the resistors in the K2.

But then my slinky vertical wouldn't be a slinky vertical. One could just
wind 1/2 wave of wire around some PVC and get similar results.
