You might want to correct yourself on the reflector... probably a much 
better chance of getting an appropriate response.

There's nothing in the KAT2 (that I can thinkn of anyway) that should 
effect one single band in this manner!!!

Ah..... YES... When the KAT2 is installed, the new firmware which comes 
with it 'forces' the power output when in TUNE mode to be 3W!!! This is to 
ensure that no damage is done to the relays as they switch in and out 
'under RF power'. I beloeve you should, however, be able to vary the output 
WHILE in TUNE mode if you change the POWER  during the tune operation.
