page 73, Receiver Pre-Alignment

...is it possible to do the Receiver Pre-Alignment by using a noise
generator (N0SS) on the input and the audio output going to my computer
running Spectrogram, in order to adjust the inductors and capacitors for
maximum signal gain as instructed on page 73?...I would have my dummy load
connected instead of my antennas...
