[Elecraft] K1 keyer aaaaaaaa

Sometimes when I first power on my K1 and I press
either the dot or dash paddle, the K1 keyer sends a a a a a.
If I power cycle on/off the K1, the problem goes away.

Anyone else have this issue, and if so, what is the fix?
