[Elecraft] K2/100 ATU: works for QRP and QRO????

Hi folks - I think there is more to this idea than I realized and I could use 
some explanations if you have them. Originally, I thought I would put the new 
ATU and the 100w amp in a separate EC2 enclosure. 

However, I just discovered by talking to Elecraft that the K2/100 can have the 
100w amp switched out and operate at QRP levels. They also said that you could 
then plug in the standard 2.9amp battery to the power jack. This is actually 
much neater than I realized. 

It would be perfect if the new ATU that will come in its own enclosure would 
function for both the QRP mode and the 100 w mode. If so, than I will abandon 
the second box concept. Anybody know the answer on this one.
