Let's move this discussion off the reflector, gents.

I take sole responsibility for the choice of both the APP connectors and
the APP-supplied mounting brackets. Send me e-mail directly if you
object to this or any other aspect of the K2/100 design.

APP manufactures and recommends these brackets to provide a secure
mounting. Operating stability is more important, in the final analysis,
than rear-panel aesthetics. The reason they're on the outside, not the
inside, is that the there was no room for additional hardware on the
inside of the rear panel in this area of the PC board.

That said, I would prefer to have them black-anodized in the future,
because they do stand out. If we do this, we'll announce it, and will
offer the more attractive Cajun-style (blackened) brackets to anyone who
wants them.

Meanwhile:

- Paint them yourself if you can't wait,

- And by all means, mount them straight!
