Doug,

I take exception to your comment of "misplaced priorities and too much
spare time." I am a former US Marine and a perfectionist by nature. I
own what many consider to be the Cadillac STS of commercial HF rigs, the
Kenwood TS-2000 but when I have HAM friends over to the shack, the rig I
show off is the K2. It is an exceptional piece of equipment. When I
complete it as a K2/100, I want it to CONTINUE to be *exceptional* in
_EVERY_ way, including appearance.

Sure, using the rig, it is not very often that one will look at the back
panel. However, when I disconnect it and hand it to a friend for physical
inspection, the powerpole mount, in it's current incarnation, is *UGLY*
and unlike the rest of the design of the rig, looks to be an
"afterthought."

I love APPs and use them on every piece of equipment I own. They are not
inheirantly. The photo I have seen of the back panal of the K2/100 shows
what is in my humble opinion, an ugly mount for the APP.

If you don't think it is ugly, that is your opinion. I will fight to the
death to protect your right to voice that opinion. I will not stand idle
and have you berate myself and others for having a differing opinion
however. I feel that your comment was quite rude and should have been
left unsaid.
