a 5% efficient antenna would be a real MONSTER for this band.....
Most 136 Khz setups in Europe are having to run between 400W and 1Kw for 1w 
ERP.

One of the things that 136 Khz operation requires is VERY High stability so 
that ultra slow modes can be used to improve the S/N ratio.
  A K2 with a transverter would have the same basic stability on 136 as the 
IF band on the K2 plus any additional drift from the Transverters L.O
