Since the voltage to bargraph conversion is done in software, one
could simply use an alternate, logarithmic scale when AGC was turned off.
A complete per-led table could be calibrated and used, or we could
just cheat: hard code an open loop table and give the user a single
multiplicative scaling value to play with.
