What is the supply voltage? With 13.6 volts, mine will do 6-7 watts into 50 ohms.
I suspect that maybe the alignment of the filter board might not be right. Try
limiting the power to 1.5 watts in the "Out" menu item, do the alignment
of the trimmers several times until no improvement results. Towards the last
2-3 tries, "unkey" the radio to reset the ALC and rekey again between alignment
tries. Let us know what happens.

| Hi Everyone:
|
| Glad to say that my kit building is still up to par and the new K1 works with no
problems. The alignment for receive and transmit was easy.
|
| I do have one question. I am getting only about 4 watts into a 50 ohm dummy load on
all 4 bands. Is this about average or can I tweak something to get it up to 5 watts?
|
| Love the radio.
