[Elecraft] K2 Microphones

My K2 S/N 2553 is in process of being built by one of the generous hams
who volunteer to build free for disabled hams.  Only a ham would 
volunteer to spend so much time helping others.  My question is regarding
microphones.  I have a Icom SM-8 left from a 1st generation IC-756 that
I sold a while back.  Elecraft doesn't have any information regarding
the mic. The SM-8 and SM-20 are the latest Icom mic options for their
hf gear.  Icom tech support faxed me a schematic of the mic that shows
an internal pre-amp and a elecret condenser element, but no info on 
impedance.  I wonder if anyone is using an SM-8 with their K2 and how
it is working out.  I'm considering buying Elecraft's latest Heil mic
offering, and just selling the SM-8, but I'd rather have a desk mic
as the K2 will be a home base unit.  I'm just wondering what you
folks are using out there in the way of microphones.
