Hi Wayne,
Thanks very much for the reply!
I also understood that a VFO linearization mod and a ATTENUATOR
switching noise reduction mod were incorporated, which I don't think
have any existing "official" application notes. I was curious if these
mods were incorporated using the same methods as described on this list
over the past 18 months, or if new approaches were utilized. I was
also wondering if the new K1 incorporated any of the VFO temperature
compensation components that were listed on the old K1 as possible
future circuit additions.
I've really enjoyed my full-house K1 #175, especially with the four-band
filter board. It has really no competition as a small well-featured
backpack and portable rig. I have likely already incorporated most of
the mods that were made in the revised K1, but I wanted to verify with a
look at the new circuit diagrams. I'm interested in keeping my K1 as
up-to-date as possible with subsequent improvements that are reasonable
to backfit.
Thanks again!
