My portable operation from Paris wasn't real succesful. It appears I had a short in my power connector the first morning I was getting set up to operate. I sat in the park next to the Eiffel Tower and watched my power cord melt -- I know the cord should have been fused, the next one will be. There's nothing like being in a public area next to a national monument in a foreign country with a smoking backpack. 

I had neglected to bring a backup battery/power supply/power cord so that ended that experiment. I did listen several evenings from the hotel before my "problem" and it was interesting to hear the European side with a few Americans coming through. Thanks for listening for me.
