[Elecraft] Questions re: MP-1 antenna

Greetings,

Like George, I also have an indoor Attic Dipole (Alpha-Delta parallel
dipoles).
It's bent into a 1/2 wave loop so that the normally 82 feet antenna will fit.

On it resonates on 40->10meters and works almost as well as my outdoor
(w9inn) dipole. On 80 meters it works with a transmatch and is adequate but
not great.

The bottom line is that it is pretty good, but the shorter the antenna the
less well it performs. There is *no* magic when it comes to limited space,
only tradeoffs.

I like the shortened loaded dipoles sold by w9inn. (See adds in QST). Works
well in the attic and even better outside.

73,
Jim
