[Elecraft] Alignment and Test, Part 1

Dear Fellow Crafters;

Well Here's the story:

The problem was most likely caused by beer fumes..

Beyond that, I decided late one evening, while finishing up the front panel
board, to mod the board for 
"Builder Alert #16".  Problem was, that I installed the called for jumper
one row to the right of pins 11 & 14 (7 & 10). 

The result was as described in my quest for K2 elightenment.  

So, if you're looking at the results of doing the mod for "#16" and "ELE"
shows on the display and the panel keys 
are kaput , finish the beer, sit in the sun for a while (or take a nap);
then after a cup of joe, have a look at the jumper 
you installed on the back of U3.
