[Elecraft] Re: QSK K2

T-R delay would be fine. However, I'm driving my Mosfet amp with the K2.
In my K2 I have build and installed small board with two transistors (the one suggested on K2
website) in order
to control the amp.
The problem is that no matter what T-R delay I have on my K2, the amp. doesn't react to it and is
always switching
very fast QSK reacting to any dot at CW speed 30 WPM.
K2 is turning ON and OFF according to the T-R delay though.
This is not a problem with Alpha 87A amp (I didn't even noticed), but my solid state amp has relays.
Perhaps I could use different signal from my K2 (which would include T-R delay) to drive the
switching transistor.
Any suggestion please.

Thanks ,

If you want to simulate the effect of PTT activation in CW mode (e.g.,
for use with a footswitch), you'll need to ground the MUTE line on the
control board. This must be done with a switch or an open-drain or
open-collector driver. Be sure to bypass the line for RF, and use
shielded cable, since otherwise noise might be picked up by the audio
amp/muting circuitry.

When you ground the MUTE line the receiver mutes, but the rig still
won't go into transmit mode until you key it with the key or paddle.
