There are alloys used in some capacitor leads, but the outer lead is plated with solder or tin. Any steel would be so plated. Some copper alloys are quite stiff. There is soft drawn copper and others. I do not recall any modern components with brass connections but antique radio parts had those. 73, Stuart K5KVH
