[Elecraft] Encoder Noise?

After installing upgrade to Ver 2.0 it seems I am "hearing" some
interference from the encoder circuitry. It's especially bad on 30
meters.
As I tune very quickly I hear what sounds like a signal every 5 MHZ or
so. If I tune slowly I actually encounter a signal that wipes out the
receiver for several KHz.
I haven't put it on the bench yet for more detailed testing, but does
anyone have and idea?
