[Elecraft] MP-1 Antenna

I have a MP-1 and use it for portable operation, the MP-1 comes with a
counterpoise of 4 wires, 3 meters long each, I added a second
counterpoise of 4 more wires of 5,5 meters each, and now it is easier
to tune, and I believe performance is a litte better, and still I have
a counterpoise easy to carry. It has a reasonable performance for the
size, and it is very easy to carry, it doesnt compare with a full size
antenna, especially on 40 meters, but it works. You dont need a tuner,
but a SWR or an antenna analizer is needed to tune it. I use the SWR
meter in the KTU option of the K2. At the beginning I used the
analizer, but know that I am familiar with the antenna, the SWR meter
in the K2 is all I need.

When I have space for carrying more stuff, for 40 meters, I use a DK9SQ
mast and an inverted V. I have plans for buildng another inverted V for
40 meters but with ladder line, so I can tune it with the KTU in the K2.
