[Elecraft] Ham Radio SW for the Mac Qs

Folks,
As a result of these statements I'm getting recommendations for text
editor, and other software. Let me clarify a point or two:
1. I'm no longer in the market for a Mac
2. I'm not in the market for software of any kind, for any platform.
3. Seems that text editors are a religion, (or maybe a politic party,
I can never remember which ;-) I'm guilty of it too. Every time I
mention text editors, MS Notepad comes up as an alternative because it
is free--recall what you Mom taught you: "...you get what you paid
for..." 'nuff said. Notepad is only one step above a manual type
writer. Try one of the two I mention and you'll see what I mean. I
mentioned vi and Emacs only for historical context, so that you would
have a point of reference for my evaluation criteria.
4. I'm not in the market to switch to ANY new PC/OS combo. I'm
sticking with WinXP. That is not a religious/political statement about
the ultimate goodness/badness of any of them. It is a optimal
pragmatic solution for a long list of criteria that has absolutely no
reason to be discussed on QRP-L or the Elecraft list. ;-)
Time to close this thread down, it is straying out of the bounds QRP
Radio Land.
