[Elecraft] K2 #2221 Almost QRO

I've been making good progress on my KPA100 kit.  Although I've had it for a couple of weeks I didn't start right away because I needed a tuner first so I built the LDG AT-11 autotuner.  Not as nice as the KAT2 or the KAT100 because it doesn't remember settings band by band but it does do one thing the Elecraft tuners won't and that is autotune when the SWR goes baove 3.0:1.  Lots of torroids with 18 ga wire (ouch!).

I'm now at the point of attaching the back panel to the board.  All resistance and voltage checks passed and the K2 is talking to the KPA100's microcontroller.  Only a couple of builder errors so far which were quickly caught and fixed.  Guess that's what I get for building between Field Day QSOs.  Made contacts on all bands 80-10 (minus WARC bands) although I could have used the KPA100 for some of them.

If all goes well, I should be QRV with 100 watts by the weekend.
