John, rather then hack into the K2 case, I just snipped the original power
lead, about 2inches from the connector, and soldered a pair of APPs onto the
lead,still makes for a neat job & not too much effort!

BTW, I've used APPs for 3 or 4 years now & can thoroughly recommend them,
but it wasn't until I recently obtained a RigRunner (another FB piece of
gear) & read the instructions, that I realised the APPs housings actually
slotted together! Its the slotting-together that gives them a nice, firm
fit. I've soldered all mine, NO crimping, & have never had a problem (even
before I learned how the housings fit together!)
