NTF with GB tool @ ARS N0RC either.

I've been using APP's for about two years with the GB tool. I crimp
AND solder, I had a few crimped-only connectors come apart. A $100
"Cadillac" of the crimper tools would be nice, but I don't wish to
give up a week's worth of groceries! ;-)

With a little effort, care and practice (as outlined by myself and
others) good results can be had with the GB tool.

Can't comment on the tool construction variance. The few I inspected
at Home Depot seemed fine.

BTW: With A LOT of care I've had good success forming APP inserts
using 18 and even 20 gauge wire.
