[Elecraft] K2 Aeronautical mobile

I own Cessna 185 and tried finding a good place to put my K2 where I could operate it from the pilot's seat.  Too big.
I used my K1 and bungeed to the glare shield over the instrument panel and ran it off its internal batteries.  For an
antenna I mounted a HamStick on the tailwheel strut pointing backward.  Worked OK as high 15,000' MSL but, subjectively,
didn't seem to do as well as with the HamStick on my SUV with its base at about 4' AGL.  I'm rated in gliders too but
haven't flown one in over 12 years.
