[Elecraft] K1 mojo ... I think

A few days ago, I worked AL8/WA6FGV on 14.023 or so, from my 7th floor hotel
room in the middle of downtown Vancouver, BC.

Antenna was a 20' piece of #30 AWG wire-wrap wire with a 1/2 oz. fishing
sinker on the end, tossed out the window, right over Burrard Street (a major
city thoroughfare).

The ground was clipped to the room's radiator grille.  Power was set to 4W,
and the KAT1 made quick work tuning the wire, which exited the window
sandwiched inside the hotel-provided Vancouver guide book.

Now, for the question:  where the heck is AL8 ?  Is that American Samoa?

If so, I gotta get a card for THAT contact!
