It's true that there's no hole, but the flat surfaces are spaced and
groved to match a 4-40 screw. The extrusion consultant we retained had
successfully used this technique many times before, so we felt it was a
good idea. As I said in a previous post, we've found that a 5-40 TapTite
screw achieves much better contact, and we have a batch of them on
order. Further information will follow.
