Find out what the screw size is. Then get an inexpensive tap for the next
larger screw size at your local hardware store. Retap the hole and insert
an appropriate screw.

Subject: [Elecraft] KPA100 side panel stripped screw threads
Hello all,
I managed to strip the threads in one side of the heatsink that receives the
side panel screw. The is the thin channel, not a drilled and tapped screw
hole. This happened after a couple installations of the KPA100. Those of you
that will be swapping out tops may want to exercise caution. No hard
feelings though, this is a great kit and the quality is high throughout!
I jammed in electrical tape to give something for the screw to grab on to
but am searching for a more elegant way of fixing this. Perhaps an insert of
some sort that would be inserted into the heatsink?
