Building an Elecraft kit is about as enjoyable a ham-radio related
activity as there is. I'm most of the way through the KPA100. Some
missing parts holding me up. I couldn't resist the K1 anymore. Ever
since the 4-band option, I've been debating the K1 in my mind. I'm not
a big cw operator. I have some trouble with my arm and wrist from a old
injury and simply can't write fast enough to operate with the hotshots.
But, I'm OK around the 12 to 13 wpm rate. You guys will just have to
put up with me. The K1 is so cool, it will get me to be more active on
QRP cw. I have the MFJ code reader and I'll see if that helps me keep
up with all of you 20+ wpm guys.

I see the posts from Wayne regarding the high-power tuner option for the
K2. Can't wait. THAT will be very cool. I also can't help wondering if
Wayne and Eric are doing any strategic planning. Could there me a K3
design lurking around the Aptos office somewhere? Maybe with 32-bit dsp?
A color graphical display like the 756Pro? I suppose it all depends
on how the latest business plan reads. Will the market support what
would likely be a really expensive HF radio kit? I'd buy one the day it
was available. Many of us would. But enough? Just thinking about
something like a K3 fills me with excitement.
