[Elecraft] K2 mobile power fusing

Gangue,

I am just planning on a mobile (or more likely portable) set up with my K2
from the car . 

 Someone mentioned a few days ago that the power supply lead from the car
battery should be fused in both positive AND negative leads. 

 I must confess that I always used this system in my old mobile days with my
old Atlas 215........ah those were the days ......long hot
summers.......pretty girls......I still had lots of hair.......er sorry
where was I ?

Oh yes,  so what happens if the fuse in the negative lead blows ?

 Won't all the current flow through whatever other ground connections you
may have - and these are very likely to be much less beefy than the power
lead. This is surely a dodgy situation to ever allow to happen.
