No, it don't! ALL 12 volts batteries will put out 12 volts or less when
loaded. The 14 volts from the power supply will charge your internal
battery at the right value (13.8 volts). If you USE the battery the
voltage will going down to about 12 volts. After hours of operating the
battery goes slowly down to 11.5 ... 11 ... 10.5 ... 10 volts. If the
voltage reading is starting to dip below 10 volts on transmit you should
recharge the battery as soon as possible. But you will NEVER put out 14
volts from a 12 volts battery.
