I have not done the mod, Tom.  But I don't do K2 exhibitions like you=20
show-biz folk :-)

The mod is easy.  But I might have to replace the heat sink pads on the=20
K2 PAs --  and I don't now have spares on hand (should get some, I suppos=
e).

I've removed the internal battery from my K2/KAT2 top to make it more=20
manageable for R&R.  Never once operated from that battery anyway, and=20
it is now about 3-years old.  With the KPA100 top, the odds of=20
mismatching the plugs (RF and PWR) are low due to location and color=20
coding. It is more likely I will pinch the power cable between the=20
shield and the right side panel (been there, done that).

If I ever have to pull the heat sink panel for some other reason, I will =

do the mod.
