[Elecraft] Problem with VFO calibration?

Hello all,

some weeks ago I changed R2 and R14 on my K2 ssb board to
5,6k in order to get more transmit audio. Yesterday I took
the time to see what it sounds like when transmitting into a
dummy load and listening to another TRX (yes, I didn't have
any qso since this mod AND before testing it). During this
test I also changed the VFO in 10 Hz steps and noticed that
the frequency step was >500Hz sometimes!? I changed mode to
CW, the odd behavior remained. I installed Rev. 2.01E
firmware last year and ran CAL PLL according to the
instructions in the manual. This bigger steps while tuning
seem to appear several times while tuning through the band 
(I tried this at different freqs on 20m). I'm not sure when
this problem first appeared, because there was not too much
spare time to run the k2 the last year.

Any hints/help to fix this is highly welcome. Please post to
the list AND directly to me (I'm digest reader).
