I'd hadn't picked up on the flashing part.  I'd rather it didn't flash.  A
constantly lit 10th LED in the face of varying S meter and power output
indications would be much easier to pick out. The XIT/RIT LED indicator on the
K1 does not flash.

I find flashing lights more objectionable (and possibly more alarming) than
"flashing" indications on an LCD.  Slow flashing, like the 1/2 Hz that is now
used for various indications on the K2's LCD display, requires an unnaturally
long visual fixation in order to determine the state of the parameter.  A glance
won't tell you.  It requires dedicated stare.  Ideally, indications of normal
static state wouldn't flash, but if it must flash due to limitations in the
display capability then, personally, I would prefer a 1.0 or 1.5Hz rate.
