Jason, trust me, the K2 you build will *not* be a "hack job" -- the radio is
designed to prevent anything of the sort!  It looks daunting at first, as
you unpack the surprisingly small box, but having done it and all the
options, I can truthfully say that if I and my pudgy fingers can do it,
*anyone* can do it!  (And besides, you've got great tech support in the
guise of Gary Surrency and the rest of this list if you've got *any*
questions).  Just take your time, it's not a contest, it's going to be
*your* radio.  Worry not -- "dude, you're getting an Elecraft!"
