The shaft of the K1's 10 turn pot is 0.25in. The FT-100 knob is meant
for a shaft DIA slightly larger. So, it probably won't work.

Yes I and many others have done this, it works well.

Something else I did (and this is not my Idea, someone else posted it
long ago). I put a small rubber ring around my K1 knob. I cut the ring
from a bicycle inner tube. I put a picture on my website later today.
