[Elecraft] K-1 XIT

HI

Been running my K-1 about a month now and love it. I want to try the CUB 
Foxhunt tonight . The fox plans to run split, so I'm trying to get familiar 
withthe process.  The manual says that in the XIT position the frequency 
can be altered with the Offset control. However when I try this the display 
 frequency remains unchanged.  Is something wrong or is it operator senior 
moment?
