Bob It's fun to show ham friends how easy it is to "copy" PSK. I've got a
number interested explaining to just plug their mike into their sound card
and put near their speaker and use Digi-Pan. It's so easy. Soon their
"hitched" up and PSK-ing like an expert. ==Mac== AG5F/W5TNJ Abilene, TX.

Hi friends!
Several people have asked me how I managed to get audio through the KIO2
cable connection from the K2 to thelaptop. The truth is that I didn't. But I
thought I did! The laptop has a small mic on the keyboard which is "on" when
there is no plug in the remote input. Of course, the mic can be turned off
with the software but then I would have to turn it back on again when running
PSK. In any event, the laptop copied quite a few QSOs while "listening" to
the stock K2 speaker. The K2 and laptop were about a foot apart. I am really
surprised. Volume wasn't all that high. So it seems that to receive PSK all
you need to do is go "near" a radio with your laptop! Sorry for misleading
everyone.
