Hi All,

after a few constructional hick-ups . . . my K2 is finished, aligned and
working. I have enjoyed 6 SSB contacts on 40 mtrs and 1 on 160 mtrs! Reports
on the audio quality using the Heil MH-2 microphone have been excellent. The
receiver is supurb . . . much quieter than my IC746 and my trusty Racal
RA1772 receiver.

As an alternative to the Heil Hand mike, I can recomend the Leeson Table Mic
(Ceramic insert + pre-amp) and the " Labtec " headsets ( electret insert ).
They work extreemly well with the K2.

Has anyone fitted a phone skt on the back panel for ALC I/P for external
Linear amplifier use???
