Hi folks,

I too have lost contact with a station around the time I told him my power.  
BUT look at it another way.  QSB exists.  During low signal times you aren't 
going to contact the other station.  During a peak you are going to make the 
contact.  Then, after an exchange or so, the band changes and you lose him.  
It just so happens that it's while you are telling the other station about 
your rig. Maybe this is all just a coincidence. Of course there is always the 
exception to prove the rule!
