[Elecraft] K2: False "Lo Batt" Indication

Well, as winter arrived, my attentions have turned to making a great K2
even better. I just couldn't leave well enough alone! As I found, this
is dangerous....

1.) My fully functional K2 #2033 (with KAT2, SSB, and KAF2) was prepared
for its first modification: the "2nd Stage Xfil Mod for Flatter SSB
Response" which was carefully and meticulously done. It now is the only
modification in the stock radio.

2.) While apart, I wanted to correct the only build mistake I was aware
of. I removed P6 and reversed it so it was in the correct orientation "by
the book". (Originally, I had installed it backwards but compensated by
reversing the connector pins into the KAT2 cable to make it work.) Because
the heat sink portion of the bottom case was removed to make this
correction, I carefully reinstalled and checked for Q7 /Q8
collector-to-ground shorts. My reading was about 305 ohms between
collector and ground for each.

All was reassembled and power applied. Everything was normal so far. I
then noticed a "Low Batt" warning on the display. Changing the display to
the V/A reading, in receive on 40M I was presented with "E00.0 i0.28". I
checked my gel cell supply: 12.5v. Seeing this problem, I did not
transmit at this point. And, other than this warning, the radio appears
operational.

Concerned, I began to recheck my work. I noticed that measuring from pin
to pin of P6, resistance was very low, > 1 ohm. I never checked this
before, so is this reasonable?

Otherwise, where might I begin looking to diagnose this problem?

Thanks!
