Hi All

I still have some grill cloth squares for your K1 or K2

If you would like a square or two of the grill cloth, email me. I will give
you my address where you can send a SASE so I can send it to you.

Installation instructions:

Remove the speaker and all hardware on the top cover. Mask off with masking
tape an area around the speaker mounting on the top cover. Place an old rag
on a flat place on the ground outdoors and place the top cover painted side
down on the rag so you don't get any glue on the top side of the cover. Use
3M Type 77 spray contact cement to lightly coat just the area where the
speaker mounts. Wait about 1 minute to allow the cement to get tacky and
carefully place the cloth over the speaker grill. Press it down to make sure
it sticks to the top cover with no wrinkles. Run a hot soldering iron through
the cloth at the speaker mounting holes, wipe and re-tin the iron tip to
remove any crud. Remount the speaker using all of the normal hardware. Do not
over tighten the speaker nuts.

This modification looks good and will protect the speaker from foreign
objects slipping under the grill. The cloth does not touch the speaker cone
with it glued to the top cover and I do not hear any less volume from the
radio.

3M 77 contact cement is available a hobby or hardware stores. Other types may
work. I have only tested 77 spray cement and know it works.
