The discussion on DVM and measuring resistance reminded me of a neat circuit
I found to build a Continuity Tester. I built this a while back this when
working with some Solid State Circuits and also used it building my K2 to
verify I had good connections on the Toroids. Thanks to it I did not have
any PTTR, (Hi N0SS). The following is the link to it.

I built it like the schematic, but rather then build the multi vibrator
circuit (T4 and T5), I cheated and used T3 to drive a Sonalert. Nice part
about this tester is you do not need a On/Off switch.

Hay that reminds me. I have about 1000 PC board mount sonalerts Mallory part
number MSR320. I used them on a circuit board I make but I have changed to
another type (louder). This piezo buzzer is about the size of a quarter and
about .5 in high and will operate on 3 to 20 volts DC. About 70 dB at 3200
Hz.

If you have a use for some of these I will sell them for 10 for $5.00 plus
$3.20 for priority postage. Minimum 10 no maximum up to what I have on hand

email me if you are interested.
