Go back and check the smeter cal on page 46 of the manual. If the cal is OK 
then recheck all of the modifications to the control board. Make sure you cut 
the right run and have all if the jumper wires installed right. Measure the 
voltage on pin 5 of p1 on the control board. This should be about 3.9 v with 
rf gain cw and 4.15 with control ccw. If not check pin 6 of p1 RF gain input. 
 The voltage should be 0.0 with gain control cw and about 2.4 v ccw. If all 
is OK at p1-6 but not at p1-5 then look around U2 and Q12 for a problem.
