No, because the K2's DC power jack includes a reverse-polarity
protection diode. So if you want to keep a battery connected to this
jack, you'll need to arrange for external charging. I mentioned a solar
panel, which is one way to float charge it. You could also float-charge
it by connecting it to the QRO power supply and adjusting this supply's
voltage accordingly. But probably the best alternative would be to build
a true external charge controller for your battery type. Suitable
circuits have been published in QST and elsewhere.

Only if you have wired the QRO supply to the battery for float-charge
purposes (see above).
