[Elecraft] Diode identification

In the K1 Owner's Manual on page 28 (RF board Part #1) concerning
orienting diodes: ""Diodes with long axial leads...... Must be installed
with the banded end (cathode) oriented towards the banded end of their
component outlines. If a diode has more than one band, the ""widest""
band indicates the cathode end."

Most of these type of diodes have a narrow gray stripe on one end and a
wider dark blue stripe for the remainder of the surface. After five
hours of inserting and soldering on the RF board, my mind is mush. Can
someone please tell me if the wider part of the cylinder (dark blue) the
cathode or is the narrow (gray) part?
