[Elecraft] Help - output power is shifting

Who can help. A friend of mine, DL7NJ, Tom, asked me for help. He had built
up a K2 with ssb-option and all seemed to work fine. It is the seconf K2 tom
had assembled.But now after a short time of working the K2 shows following
strange behavior:  When you are tuning the current rises up from 2 A to 3 A
in a few seconds (3 - 4 sec). When you adjust the output power to 6 watts,
then the output power rises up to high power output in irregular intervals
and also back to 6 watts.This happens in ssb and in cw. Another fault is,
perhaps in connection with the upper things is, that the s-meter without any
antenna shows a value 0-1 s stages, which also varies suddenly to s 3-4 and
back.
Tom has checked all solder connections for termal effects, nothing found.
Perhaps somebody can help.
