[Elecraft] Looking for headphones - 99.9% CW

I just sent a review up to eham on my favorite CW Headset.. They are being
discontinued & closed out at RS for only $39.

From a previous post on the same subject:

I have no space in my house for ham radio.. therefore.. like many of us, I
have my K2 ham station set up next to my computer in a corner of the dining
room. The big problem here has been that when the kids are watching
cartoons in the next room and the xyl is in a telephone conversation in the
same room, the ambient noise becomes somewhat distracting.

I have a nice comfy set of headphones that help but they do not block the
noise much.. So I end up wondering what SpongeBob & Squidwerd did to make
everyone laugh so hard while I am trying to send CW..

One day, as I was perusing Radio Shack, I spied a set of mono high noise
environment (over the head) headphones.. Radio Shack calls them "Racing"
headphones for use with a scanner at a race track. I bought a pair a few
days ago and I gotta tell you that these things are *great* for ham radio!

My biggest worry was comfort.. but.. I have worn these now for periods of
over an hour and have had no problem.

The best part is that, since there is nearly no background noise, I have
been able to turn the headphone volume way down..

I clipped the mono plug off and installed a stereo plug so that it would
marry up with both, my "Wilderness" Sierra & "Elecraft" K2. Worth noting is
that the K2 worked fine even with the mono plug.

I did a search on the RS web site and found the tech details for RS
Headphones # 33-1198 (price $49.99).

Subject: [Elecraft] Looking for headphones - 99.9% CW

Hi gang,

I'm looking for a set of headphones for my K2. I work almost exclusively
CW so I won't be needing a headphone set which includes a microphone.

I'm looking for a quality pair of phones so I was naturally drawn to the
Heil web site, but I didn't see any without the mic.

Thanks for any help you might offer.
