Here's what K2 #1429 did on its lowest setting -100 milliwatts- in this
weekend's ARRL CW DX contest. I operated a total of 18 hours, quitting
at midnight Saturday. An Autek WM-1 Computing Meter monitored the
output. Antennas include a tribander
at 55 feet, a 40 meter rotatable dipole above the tribander, and an 80
meter center fed zepp. The K2 is a wonderful contest rig ... the
receiver is superb, and the QSK is smooth. Being able to switch
instantaneously between two antennas (with the ATU installed) is
invaluable when signals are coming from many directions. I almost made
WAC on 40 meters but couldn't work Asia. Thank you, Elecraft, and the
many good 'ears' out there!!
