[Elecraft] Ten-Tec OMNI VI+ comparisons/preference

Listers. I am very happy with my K2. However, I have owned and do own
Ten-Tec gear (keeping it an American station all-around).
I have offered a window to buy a T-T OMNI VI+ (with Option 1 upgrade) and
would honestly like to know the opinions of anyone with experience with
that T-T rig, as a rig and as a K2 comparison. 
The K2 is staying put without any doubt, but the VI+ is offered up as a
major secondary rig for whatever it MIGHT excell toward.

Is there a major difference, or will the K2 (and KPA-100 amp) give me
almost all the chuckles and thrills I need, giving only minor
apparent gains
with an VI+ if acquired? Or are there major things I should know and
expect to appreciate in use?

I have NO experience at all with the type of DSP in the VI+ level 1 (and I
think I realize that that level of DSP is probably significant less than
the level of sophistocation of today's DSPs), so what does the DSP give
for instance advantageously on top of the two available IF xtal filter
levels?
Would I apppreciate a serious difference in use/satisfaction or
performance with the VI+ --- keeping in mind it has an inherent cost equal
to a few K2s? Dollars expended equally matches in expectations met?

I am a casual op, not serious DX or contester, mostly CW for anything I am
'serious' about doing or perceiving.

Thanks for any comments direct to me or useful to the List as a whole. I
don't want to hear slags as I respect both manufacturers products and will
continue to use both (have run a OMNI C , OMNI V and Corsair II and have
access to all three types at various times).
